2 weeks left of school, finished all of my assessments and I don't see the point of going to school since we don't do anything there anyway. Half the grade has gone to Nepal for Week 9 and half the grade will be on holidays in week 10.
Well meaning I'll be in Jakarta soon! I don't know what else to write, here are some gifs I made (of bands I will be seeing next year WOOOO). Tar.

THIS IS A POST DEDICATED TO LANEWAY FESTIVAL

ST JEROME'S LANEWAY FESTIVAL began in Melbourne in 2004. The festival expanded to Sydney in 2006, Brisbane in 2007, Adelaide in 2008 and Perth in 2009. Pitchfork reviewed this event as "Australia's most insurgent and unique pop music event". On October 1, 2009, that the festival would begin to visit New Zealand in 2010 and on November 15 2010 they officially announced that Laneway Festival are expanding to SINGAPORE.

That's right, Singapore. Bands rarely come here, and at least 3 bands that I thought I would never get a chance to see are coming on the 29th of January.

Tickets are on sale tomorrow, a.k.a 19th November, a.k.a my birthday. But we're not going to talk about my birthday because THE FACT THAT FOALS ARE COMING TO SINGAPORE ARE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN MY BIRTHDAY.
They're going to announce more bands soon, and I hope either one of these bands are in one of the lineups:

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB // Phoenix // Ariel Pink // Bear in Heaven // Klaxons // Local Natives

All of them are in Australia for Laneway or at the same time as Laneway and hopefully, they'll come to Singapore first, especially Two Door. Come on Two Door...

I will constantly dance like Gus and jump like Shawn until Laneway Festival Singapore 2011 is officially over.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to turn this blog into a music blog or something... I don't know we'll see. No one reads my blog(s) anyway so oh well, plus I'm not famous or well-known which makes my blog a pile of garbage filled with half-empty pudding cups and unwanted dog collars (welcome to the real world young teenage adolescents with dreams and high hopes, those around you will eventually take those dreams away pieces by pieces. It's fun! Later, when you're old and cranky, you can do that to the new adolescents). But since I'm still young and just-started-to-care about school and slowly swallowing in the fact that I'm not going to be much more successful than my mom, and probably will still continue to write blogs by the time I'm 43, I'm just going to share you to those who actually is reading this right now a small piece of the Chicago music scene.

So that's Smith Westerns. They remind me of... erm. And they seem to be Marigold's type of boys.

And that's Flavor Savers. I just have to say, judging from the youtube videos I've seen of Chic-A-Go-Go the audiences are mostly Chicagonian hipsters. Oh look at 6:39, at first I thought it was a Courtney Love-look alike dancing with Toby Dundas dancing Yannis Philippakis' moves.

IT'S FRIDAAAYYYY and I only have ONE exam left, which is Legal Studies. But it's the weekend now, and I can FINALLY wake up whenever the hell I want for 2 days. That's what I love most about weekends, not being force to wake up.

Anyway, I've decided to spend my friday night watching Wizards of Waverly Place with my sister while eating Subway, skype-ing with Felicia and Amanda, playing sudoku, chatting with Tuna and Marigold and listening to FALSE PRIEST. Finally bought it. That and the new Weezer, Math & Physics Club and Interpol's album. I'm all set for the week.
Sudoku is getting annoying..... Well anyway.
I'M GOING TO WATCH VAMPIRE WEEKEND TWICE, JAKARTA AND SINGAPORE, AND THE FLAMING LIPS IS COMING TO SINGAPORE ON 11/11/10 AND I WILL WATCH THEM AND THEN WATCH TEMPER TRAP THE NEXT DAY AND TOKYO POLICE CLUB THE NEXT NEXT DAY.

HOLIDAY OH, HOLIDAY.

I want holiday to come. I can't wait to go back to Jakarta. I want my assignments done and my exams disappear. I have 4 weeks of school left, next week is going to be a pain because i have 4 assignments due, and then in 2 weeks I'll have my preliminary year 11 exams. Fun, right? I have given my lunch times to study now, well I hate going to the canteen at lunch anyway, too many people. So in 4 weeks, I'll finish year 11. In 4 weeks I'm coming back to Jakarta. In 4 weeks, I'll be a 15 year old 12th grader (my whole math class found out I was 15 today.... I got some strange looks).

I CAN'T STOP SMILING WATCHING THIS VIDEO. OCTOBER HURRY UP, PLEASE COME, I SIMPLY CANNOT WAIT.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON: I will buy TICKETS FOR VAMPIRE WEEKEND Oh I can't stop jumping and giggling like a twelve-year-old girl going to a Justin Bieber concert. Then probably go home and watch The Simpsons/Criminal Minds/Britain's Next Top Model alone while eating a Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
SATURDAY: Finally, I will hang out with TUNA. Hopefully all day, go to flea market, talk about Foals and go to HMV. Doing the things we do. And then Amanda's birthday party.
SUNDAY: Stay at home and finish my English/Drama/Art essays. Fun!

Me and a couple of my friends had ramen today. The ramen was goooodd. Now I'm spending my friday watching Simpsons while eating Ben & Jerry's, yes I am a party animal.
Apparently there's this DJ party thing somewhere in Sentosa? .....If Steve Aoki was playing, Cobrasnake is there and there weren't so much underage prostitutes, I would come. On the plus side, I might be going to a flea market tomorrow, and gonna watch HANDSOME FURS on Sunday. Good thing I don't have any homework, though I have a History test on Wednesday.

I NEED TO BE SMART DAMMIT. History is such a pain in the ass.

Oh and on another plus side, I GOT THE PASSWORD FROM GREENHORN PRODUCTIONS oh yeah oh yeah with this password I can buy those VAMPIRE WEEKEND concert a day before and get those front row seats.

I'm just going to tell you readers about my day today. 12 August 2010. This post would be like a diary 'cause I think some interesting things happened today.

So I wake up lazy as usual at 6 AM, left house and missed my bus so I had to wat for another 15 minutes. I also almost lost $50 on my way to the bus stop, that $50 was to pay back a friend 'cause I borrowed his money last Friday. I went back and retrace my step as I wait for my usual 159 bus and a guy riding a bicycle almost took my money. He actually cycled away and good thing I screamed "HEY!" at him so he gave back my money.

Then I almost fell over on the bus... I just need to add there, was not pleasant.

School was fine, English was fun. And surprisingly so was Legal Studies. Kirra and I talked about how we're annoyed by people from our school suddenly getting tumblr. Then in class we discussed the Bali 9. Oh this day was also known as THE DAY NIKITA WAS WRONG. Nikita is a superly smart classmate that is, almost never, wrong when it comes to lessons. For once, she was wrong and the class went dead silence and looked at her. Ooo yeaa.
Anyway we talked about Bali 9, and Indonesian government, and how bad it was. I quite enjoyed it because I actually know what I'm talking about, being it's about Indonesia and all.
Then at the end of the class, we were giving a scenario. We were to pretend we're Australian, who got caught for drug possession in Jakarta, cannot speak Bahasa Indonesia, was forced to sign a legal document that was in Bahasa and write a pleading letter to the Australian Prime Minister... Fun, yeah kinda.

After that I went to see my friend Wafiy who had previously borrowed my camera for his Art project. Turns out he left it in the cab this morning. I was about to cry just then, and I couldn't concentrate for the next period + lunch. I met him again at lunch, and he had my camera. My face lit up, apparently he ran to the taxi company (wasn't very far from school, I think. Don't really know where it is but, he said he ran there...) and got my camera back. I just have to tell you my bored readers, that HE IS AN AWESOME FRIEND.

The rest of the day was boring. I ate cheese sticks. Cheese sticks are good.

I shall go back on finishing my math assignment now... Math is fun.

TWO STEPS, TWICE

I can't stop listening to foals. I just can't. It's 3:39 am right now, I can't sleep. I want to sleep, I'll sleep later. I'm blogging right now, blogging is fun right? Well, my mom and sister are coming to Singapore tomorrow. I'm going to have a nice long talk with my mom, we're going to negotiate. You see my precious reader, there are a lot of bands coming to Singapore and Jakarta that I really want to watch. Now I will list the following bands and the reason why I want to watch them:

• Steve Aoki, JKT: He's coming to SG too yeah but, my Aoki buddy Marigold is in Jakarta.
• Vampire Weekend, SG: It's vampire weekend, the gig would be filled with tweens, fakes and indie-try-hards but, it would still be worth it.
• Vampire Weekend, JKT: Tuna and I want to experience watching Vampire Weekend together, and we plan to scream "EZZZZRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" really loud in the concert until he look our way/reply us.
• Temper Trap, JKT: Uhm a diabolical plan to touch Toby's beard....
• Tokyo Police Club, JKT: The fact that they're not coming to Singapore annoys me, but watching a gig in Jakarta is without a doubt 120% much more fun than in Singapore.
• Crystal Castles, JKT: Well this hasn't been confirmed yet but I'm still waiting. MARIGOLD AND I ARE GOING TO DANCE HARD TO PAP SMEAR, LIKE THAT AMERICAN GUY DANCING IN THE SUBWAY, AND CRIMEWAVE, our summer song 2k8?
